Riggs Distler has dispatched in excess of 50 crews to the gulf coast area in response to damage caused by hurricane Katrina. Currently crews are working in Florida, Mississippi and Louisiana. Crews report expensive damage in Gulfport Mississippi and Slidell Louisiana. The crews in Mississippi are camping out in tents as no hotel facilities exist. The crews in Louisiana are currently being escorted by armed guards in response to civil unrest in the greater New Orleans area.

To date all crews have performed their work without incident and are expected to be on station for at least mid way thru October.
