3/1/2005 - 5 Year Alliance Awarded
Riggs Distler is pleased to announce that we have been awarded a 5 year overhead distribution alliance contract with a major mid Atlantic Utility. The utility is anticipating the value of this indefinite delivery / indefinite contract to exceed $ 100 million dollars. In making the announcement Riggs Distlers’ Chief Executive Officer, Leo Sniger stated, ”We are pleased that we have been selected as an alliance team member and have the opportunity to continue our long term relationship with this valued core client. We are mutually committed in providing safe, quality and dependable services to the community. We will work collectively to reinvent and improve the way services are currently performed with the goal of lowering overall costs, and increasing reliability.

1/20/2005 Premcor
Riggs has recently completed a major turnaround project for the Premcor refinery in Delaware City Del. This project, valued in excess of $ 10,000,000, was completed is 6 short weeks. The project required extensive pipe fabrication and numerous heavy lifts, electrical and instrumentation work. Riggs self performed all of the work in house. Riggs completed the turnaround a week ahead of schedule and 20% under budget with no incidents.

1/15/2005- New Contract
Riggs has just been awarded a $ 50 million dollar plus contract with a major mid Atlantic power producer. This multiyear boiler repair project will require Riggs to work in multiple states simultaneously in order to keep this utility in full operation.

1/10/2005 Columbus Ohio
Recent winter storms left thousands of customers without critically need ed power in the Columbus Ohio area. Riggs’s was asked once again to help this fine community in their time of need. After a few days of R&R and a good Christmas dinners our crews traveled to Ohio and worked extended hours restoring power to this community. All crew have safely returned home without a safety incident!

12/26/2004 - Florida Hurricane Response
All of Riggs Distler’s overhead emergency storm response crews have returned from Florida on December 23, 2004. The 4 months of 7 day per week, 12 hour days helped restore power to hospitals, schools and thousands of local business and homes. Restoration work was performed without a safety incident. Recently the governor of Maryland personally thanked Riggs’s crews and joined them in a Thank You celebration.

10/19/2004 - Extended Stay
Riggs Distler has wrapped up hurricane emergency work in Florida and has been asked to stay 3 months longer.  During the extended stay, Riggs crews will be involved in new business development, future storm preparation work, as well as on call 24 hrs for trouble work.  The extended stay can be attributed to the safety and diligence of all the Riggs Distler overhead crews during the emergency response.  Riggs Distler worked long hours without incident through 4 major Hurricanes in the past 2 months.
